Essay Topic - Romeo and Juliet
Essay Topic - 'Romeo and Juliet'You've probably heard of an essay topic that has been popular since the 1800s and is now back in vogue. It's called Romeo and Juliet, and it's an excellent essay topic for college-level English classes. Here are some tips to help you think about using it in your own writing.First, I'd like to emphasize that this is a very interesting and important theme for an essay. The characters are so complicated that there are many different versions of their narrative. By focusing on just one or two elements, your focus will be on the details and the drama of each version. And because it's so popular, you'll be able to find plenty of resources for it online.First of all, here's the beginning of Romeo and Juliet. It's an old myth about how Romeo and Juliet fell in love. In one version of the story, Romeo was a greedy, cowardly scoundrel, while Juliet was a beautiful princess with a lovely voice. In the other version, Romeo was a small town farmer who was rich, whi le Juliet was a dashing courtesan. This is what makes this romantic tragedy such a popular essay topic. Themes like these are everywhere in our society and in our lives. Shakespeare himself wrote a version of the myth where Juliet was his sister. It isn't clear which version he based his version on, but in any case it's a great topic for an essay because he had a unique way of presenting it.Here's the specific version. As the story begins, Romeo goes to bed early so that he can leave his wife early and go out with his new mistress. He wants to spend the evening dancing with her, but she is having a rough day. After they go out, her sister tells her that her sister-in-law is having an affair with the man from town. Therefore, they arrange to meet so that they can confront the husband. This is so typical of the romantic tragedy. It's all about commitment, betrayal, and who is cheating whom. The big difference is that in the beginning, the lovers only have a vague idea of the identities of the women. However, as the play continues, the lovers come to identify the women as their lovers. In this particular version of the story, Romeo doesn't know his wife is being deceived. In fact, he doesn't even realize that he is seeing another woman. However, he finally realizes that he should confront the lover, who turns out to be Tybalt, the captain of the guard at the palace.Juliet eventually has to be saved by Romeo. Juliet is rescued by Romeo's fellow guards. She's also forced to engage in a fight to keep her lover safe. But in the end, both she and Romeo escape to the island where Romeo proposes marriage to her.
